Christmas Eve Friday 24th December 2010

Amid the hustle and bustle of modern life, Longueville House offers precious sanctuary. Arrive at Longueville on Christmas Eve to begin the big unwind. After being escorted to your guest room, relax and become familiar with your new home for the next few days while enjoying Afternoon Tea. At 7.00pm Santa Claus will make a quick visit with our Junior Guests in the Drawing Room. Later enjoy our mulled wine reception and then relax and savour the finest contemporary French and Irish Cuisine, prepared & cooked for you by Chef/Patron William O’Callaghan and his team.

Christmas Day Saturday 25th December 2010

Relax in the Drawing room after a Traditional Irish breakfast & read the newspapers or catch up with family & friends. Maybe take a bracing stroll on one of our country walks and scenic surrounds of Longueville House before you prepare for a pre luncheon champagne reception by the roaring open fires. Then enjoy a Traditional Christmas luncheon and spend the afternoon at a gentle pace, maybe even a forty winks nap! Later that evening, a delicious buffet supper will be served for you to enjoy. Later some Guests have been known to engage in a game or two of cards!

St. Stephen's Day (Boxing Day), Sunday 26th December 2010

Spend St. Stephen’s Day at your leisure, first of all enjoying a delicious Irish Breakfast. Later Guests may take a walk in local Doneraile Park, stopping off at a local pub on the way home. For sport enthusiasts, seeing the Duhallow Hunt off at Castlemagner & a visit to the local pub there is always hugely enjoyed. In the afternoon, enjoy the cosy log fire and Afternoon Brunch. Absorb the Historic surrounds while spending quality time with loved ones. Late afternoon cosy up by the log fire for some old fashioned story telling. In the evening, appreciate for one last time the finest of food lovingly prepared for you by William and his team while listening to the musical strums of our resident musician.

24th December

Arrive at Hayfield Manor Hotel on Christmas Eve with a welcome of hot port & pastries served throughout the afternoon in the hotel's elegant drawing room. While away the afternoon discovering your Christmas home from home while wrapping last minute gifts, putting the finishing touches to the Christmas tree in your accommodations or catching up with loved ones in The Manor Bar or The Library.  Relax & soak up the festive atmosphere while being serenaded with a heart-warming performance from a local Cork choir. Your evening celebration commences with a Mulled Wine Reception followed by Festive Dinner in Perrotts Garden Bistro with a four course meal from the a la carte menu.  Following evening ceremonies, return for warming mulled wine in front of an open fire. 

 25th December

Begin Christmas Day with Hayfield Manor’s famous Irish breakfast and pass the morning in either the privacy of your accommodation or find a cosy corner in one of our resident lounges. Christmas celebrations commence in earnest with a champagne toast which precedes our Traditional Christmas Lunch. Christmas Day lunch is prepared with attentive care by Head Chef, Graeme Campbell, and is served in elegant surrounds of Orchids Restaurant. As the day advances, excitement grows as we await the appearance of Santa Claus who surprises enthralled junior guests with a carefully selected gift for each. As in past years, no doubt great fun will ensue and you can choose to join in or quietly slip away to a cosy corner for a nod or two. The evening culminates with a sumptuous Christmas Night Buffet and thereafter, all that remains to be done is to retire to your favourite armchair in The Drawing Room, The Library or in The Manor Bar and reflect on this delightful day.

 26th December

St Stephen’s Day commences in full swing with a lively Jazz Brunch served into the afternoon. Take the remainder of the day to prepare your vocal chords for that most famous of Irish traditions, the fireside Sing-Along, which takes place in The Manor Bar. Even the most reticent guests will enjoy the meandering stories of your host for the night, and famous raconteur, (Hayfield Manor’s much loved Concierge) Mr Bart Bambury. Hot whiskeys and ports will be at hand for those courageous enough to take centre stage. And when bedtime beckons, slip away for a peaceful last night’s slumber at Hayfield Manor.

Througout your stay, you will enjoy exclusive access to The Beautique Spa with our indoor swimming pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, steam room, gym and the full range of Elemis Spa Treaments.

Christmas in Connemara-Cashel House                                                 

Christmas Eve

A special Pre Diner Drinks Reception in the Bar to welcome you from the McEvilly family and staff and to help you meet your fellow guests , followed by a festive dinner beginning at 8pm in our holly decorated Dining Room, with Music by Award Winning Harpist Lynn Saoirse and  some Carols from our Local Carol Singers.

Christmas Day

A quiet day of Celebration with a Traditional Breakfast in the Dining Room or your Room from 8.15.am to 10.00am. Santa arrives in the Bar at 12.30pm with gifts for all, followed by a Buffet Lunch in the Dining Room at 1pm.

Spend the afternoon in front of one of our four Turf fires or walking, biking or driving in our spectacular scenery. Afternoon Tea is served in the Drawing room as you wish.

Pre-Dinner drinks are served in the Bar at 7.30pm and a Traditional Christmas dinner is served at 8pm in the Dining Room in a house party atmosphere with lots of good food and company with music by award winning harpist Lynn Saoirse. The Cunninghan Family, Irish Champsion Sean Nos Dancers will entertain you.

St. Stephen's Day

A Hearty Breakfast is served from 8.15am to 10.00am, followed by a day of relaxing as you wish.  Another Traditional Dinner starting at 7.00pm in the Dining Room with Music by Award Winning Harpist Lynn Saoirse.
