The River Shannon and Lough Derg form the eastern boundary of County Clare. On the west is the wonderfully varied Atlantic coast, with mighty cliffs, caverns and sandy bays. To the north this rugged coast rises nearly 700 feet above the sea to the Sheer Cliffs of Moher. Here also is the amazing limestone district called the Burren, with its many caves, underground streams and rare flora. On the south is the broad Shannon eastuary.
The Burren is a special area with treasures to uncover for both the botanist and the explorer of historic ruiins. Giving breathtaking views across Galway Bay and the visually surprising and unique Burren limestone landscape, Gregans Castle Hotel is the ultimate hideaway.
The sensitive restoration of this early 19th century estate recreates a contemporary and eclectic ambience for today's traveller in search of a tranquil respite with natural and warm Irish hospitality. Comprising of 15 acres and with commanding hilltop views over Lahinch Bay, the Estate is enhanced by mature woodland and the meandering River Moy.
