Carne Golf Links lies in magnificent unspoiled sand dunes overlooking Blacksod Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean near Belmullet Co. Mayo in the west of Ireland. Carne was the last links course to be designed by the late Eddie Hackett and it is now believed by many who have played it to be his greatest challenge.
Stella Maris was built in 1853 as a Coast Guard fortress and subsequently became a convent in 1914. The detailed restoration of this imposing 19th century oceanfront structure was completed in 2002. Antiques are interspersed with comfortable leather furniture to create a 'homey' sense for guests.
Enniscoe House is listed as a Heritage House of Ireland and has passed to the present through twelve generations of the family to the present owne, Susan Kellett. She has now been joined by her son, DJ Kellett.
