New to Mount Juliet for 2016

Our Jack Nicklaus designed golf course has hosted a number of high profile golfing events including the 2002 and 2004 American Express World Golf Championships, which were won by Tiger Woods and Ernie Els respectively, and Mount Juliet has also hosted 3 Irish Open Championships. The course attracts avid golfers and many would view this course as one of the finest in Ireland. Our Jack Nicklaus designed course has had significant investment in the past 6 months with the purchase of a fleet of Toro mower and Turfgrass products valued at over €800,000. Mount Juliet also have new state of the art equipment arriving over the coming months with 40 new buggies with GPS capability.

Mount Juliet House is an architectural gem, the main house paying tribute to eighteenth century craftsmanship while the estate is steeped in history dating back to the 15th century. The beauty of the house and the surrounding estate parklands is only one of its kind, and bring guests back time and time again. Synonymous with the brand are the high level of personal service guests receive in the luxurious and relaxed settings.

Mount Juliet Estate was recently ranked in the Top 20 Hotels and Resorts in Europe by Condé Nast Traveller.

Mount Juliet is also a part of the Ireland’s Blue Book collection and the Virtuoso luxury travel group.

As part of your stay at Mount Juliet we encourage you to take a tour with our host Des McGrath, the tour will take you around the 1,500 acre estate and includes a visit to Ballylinch Stud, the Mount Juliet equestrian centre, the famous Kilkenny hunt kennels, the 18th century walled gardens, a tour of the main house.

Mount Juliet is currently undergoing a €12m redevelopment. The Hunters Yard area will have 60 new bedrooms and the plans also include the construction of a new golf clubhouse, members bar, and changing areas. Kendals restaurant will also be redeveloped to make way for a new banqueting hall which will have a capacity of up to 220 people. It is anticipated that the new Clubhouse area will be ready by June 2016.

Mount Juliet House has also been recently refurbished with soft furnishings, curtains, carpets all given a fresh makeover.
