November 2011:Ireland's Blue Book is delighted to announce "Festive Afternoon Tea" in the Merrion Hotel.

Recover after Christmas Shopping; give the family a pre-Christmas treat; or simply get in the mood for the holidays. Whatever the reason, Afternoon Tea in the beautiful Georgian Drawing Rooms, surrounded by this 5 star Dublin hotel's priceless collection of art and antiques, will be an occasion to remember and savour. These elegant rooms were designed in the 1760's for their owners to entertain and relax in, and this is exactly what guests of The Merrion enjoy doing today.

Delicate fingers sandwiches, gingerbread, Viennese bridge rolls, meringues, mince pies, gateaux - just some of the home-made delights on offer from 1st to 31st December, as The Merrion invites you to enjoy a scrumptious celebrated Afternoon Tea.

On December 4th, 11th and 18th Afternoon Tea will be accompanied by festive Christmas Carols.
