Tapas Style Titbits at The Ice house

Dublin May 26, 2010: Head Chef Gavin O’Rourke has introduced some lovely tapas-style titbits for guests to enjoy over a summer cocktail, glass of chilled white wine or refreshing ice-cold beer and also has some more substantial items that will defiantly keep you going till dinner time!   From only €6.50, you can enjoy a taste of the continent in the spectacular setting of The Ice House Bar or outdoor Terrace overlooking the majestic River Moy. 

Some mouth watering dishes include:  Warm Salad of Asian Style Chicken, Pok Choy, Egg Noodles and Coconut Cream €9.50 and Deep-Fried Crab Balls and Beetroot Relish €6.50.

Despite his low-profile, Gavin has managed to attract both loyal customers and plaudits alike.   In 2009 Pier Restaurant, at The Ice House, Ballina won ‘Penfolds Best Connacht Restaurant’ at the Food & Wine Awards and voted ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Restaurant Association Awards the same year.   This year his passion and dedication earned The Ice House an entry into The Bridgestone Guide.

 

Pier Restaurant offer value Table d’hôte menus available throughout the week offering 2 courses for €33 and 3 courses for €39.   Three course Sunday Lunch from €29.
