Dublin May 10, 2010: Ireland's Blue Book is delighted to announce that as part of the Carlow Éigse Arts Festival, Kilgraney studio gallery presents a group show featuring Carlow artists and friends. The exhibition features work in a variety of media such as local granite, ceramics, cast metals, mixed media, oils, acrylics and photographic prints. The pieces demonstrate how a landscape impacts on our interior spaces and how interior pieces can explore and exploit the elements outside.

The exhibition is set within a series of courtyards and gardens that overlook the Barrow valley, as well as in the recently restored coach house.

INSIDE, in the gallery, artist present work that reflect and evoke emotions of the landscape outside such as: Barbara Dempsey’s - self portraits; Remco de Fouw - photographic prints without a camera; Denis Farrell- geometric watercolours; Gethyn Gibson – botanical abstracts; Annabel Konig – skyscapes; Laurence O’Toole - local landscapes; and Martin Marley - ceramic organic forms.  

OUTSIDE, in the herb gardens at Kilgraney, are an array of sculptural works and photographic prints from artists such as: Michelle Byrne – stone and steel sculptures; Pauline O’Connell– mixed media work; Suzanne Clarke – photographic prints; Niall Deacon – stone sculpture; Jeremy Hill – bronze sculpture; Rachel Joynt – sculpture and Gwen Wilkinson – wire animals.

Exhibition will run from the 7th to 20th June 11.00 am-6.00 pm
