Pancake Flipping at Hayfield Manor to raise funds for Barnardos !

February 2010: Traditionally pancake Tuesday is a joyful event for little ones all over the country and at Hayfield Manor today, those less fortunate children were not forgotten.

In an effort to raise much needed funds for Barnardos children’s charity, a team of chefs set to work at 5am to start flipping over 700 pancakes for Hayfield Manor’s Pancake Tuesday charity event. Staff from neighbouring UCC were invited to enjoy complimentary pancakes & treats for their morning tea break and generous donations were made by those invited guests to Hayfield Manor’s charity of the year, Barnardos.

Barnardos' work tirelessly with a vision to create an Ireland where childhood is valued and all children and young people are cherished equally. Barnardos' mission is to challenge and support families, communities, society and government to make Ireland the best place in the world to be a child.

Hotel Manager, Ettienne Van Vrede stated, “We are delighted to be supporting Barnardos children’s charity at Hayfield Manor this year. We have a number of exciting fundraising events planned to aid Barnardos throughout the year and today is just the first of many such initiatives.”
