Romeo & Juliet in the GardenOn Saturday 11th July 2009June 2009

June 24, Dublin: Ballyvolane House in County Cork will play host to an open air performance of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet in the gardens of the house on Saturday July 11th at 7 P.M.

The play will be performed by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company, a professional touring group from the UK.

The drama will unfold amidst the stunning gardens of Ballyvolane. An experienced cast, magnificent costumes and an enchanting musical score promise to make this one of the most memorable evenings of the summer.

Ballyvolane House can supply picnic hampers so those attending can arrange a picnic with family, friends, work colleagues or business clients before the performance. If a picnic is not for you a hot food stall selling roast beef in blaas (local bread speciality) with dressed salad leaves and horseradish cream followed by Eton Mess is also available on the night from Eunice Power. Wine, Champagne and Elderflower Fizzes will also be served.

Tickets for the performance are €18 for adults and €12 for children and students. Picnic hampers need to be ordered in advance @ €20 per person. The Gardens will be open from 6pm.
