Arrive in Dublin airport and pick up your hire car and head straight for Barberstown Castle, Straffan, Co. Kildare. Base yourself here for 2 nights as you need to play the famous K Club and also the Carton House. (Montomerie course). Whilst these are both parkland golf courses they will set you up for some exhilarating golf on some of the country’s best links courses.
Overnight: Barberstown Castle
Travel to Ballycastle in Co. Mayo and stay in the beautiful Stella Maris Hotel, a converted coastguard station and now a cosy country house hotel. Your host, Terrence McSweeney, is a golfing expert and he will help in arranging for you to play on some of the finest links courses. You will be playing at Carne Golf Club, close by to Stella Maris and Enniscrone Golf Club, both monumental links courses, which will hone your golfing skills.

Drive to the most northern part of the country and arrive at Rathmullan House, near Letterkenny in Co. Donegal. This is a wonderful base for golfers who want to play at Port Salon and also Ballyliffin Golf Club. Your hosts, The Wheelers, are used to looking after golfers and you can leave your clubs in a special ‘dry room’ so that all your clubs and gear will be nicely dry and ready for the next day of action on the golf course.

Not too far to drive today so you can play your next round of golf at the famous Royal Portrush Golf Club. Many golfers have portrayed Royal Portrush Golf Club Dunluce Links as one of the most challenging in the golf course world. Consistently ranked in the Top Ten courses in the World. Overnight in the Bushmills Inn, on the coast of Co. Antrim, where they have specially designed walk in wardrobes for your golf equipment.
Ardtara Country House is also conveniently located to Royal Portrush also.

Up early today as you have a bit of ground to cover before you arrive at Royal County Down Golf Club, another of the world’s top ranking links courses. This is your last round of golf and by now you should be playing like some of the greats like Tiger Woods or our own Padraig Harrington.
Overnight: Newforge House or Tankardstown House
Play The Links Portmarnock, the Jameson family’s private golf course, developed in 1858, was one of the earliest courses in Ireland.
Bernhard Langer affectionately incorporated part of the original layout in his design of the championship links, which opened for play in 1995.
