Wins for Derry Clarke of L’Ecrivain, Bushmills Inn, Glenlo Abbey and Ballymaloe House at the Good Eating Guide Awards 2018

April 2018: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce wins for Derry Clarke of L’Ecrivain, Bushmills Inn, Glenlo Abbey and Ballymaloe House at the Good Eating Guide Awards 2018 which took place on Monday 16th April in Dublin.

Derry Clarke of L’Ecrivain, Dublin achieved a top award of Best Chef in Ireland, and Bushmills Inn was recognised as Best Hotel Restaurant in Ulster.Ballymaloe House, Cork and The Pullman Restaurant at Glenlo Abbey, Galway were awarded with Best Restaurant Munster and Best Restaurant Connaught respectively. These awards were among a wide range of presentations made to restaurants cafés, gastro pubs, and hotels, in all parts of the country in recognition of exceptional product and service. The Good Eating Guide Awards 2018 were presented by the Chairwoman of the Oireahtas Committee on Housing, Planning and Local Government: Maria Bailey TD.

Editor of the Good Eating Guide Paddy McCarthy said the awards celebrated excellence in food services and the unique combination of Ireland’s local traditions, individual craftsmanship and use of local natural resources.
