Blue Book Houses win at the Munster Regional Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2017

March 2017: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce wins for Gregans Castle Hotel, Ballymaloe House, The Tannery, Moy House and The Park Hotel Kenmare at the Munster Regional Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2017 which took place in Limerick on Tuesday 22nd March.

Gregans Castle Hotel and head chef David Hurley achieved glowing recognition on the night scooping both Best Hotel Restaurant in Clare and Best Chef in Clare.

Ballymaloe House took home the prestigious title of Best Hotel Restaurant in Cork, while Blue Book newcomer The Tannery won Best Restaurant in Waterford. Moy House was recognised with Best Customer Service in Clare, and James Coffey of the Park Hotel Kenmare was awarded the title of Best Chef in Kerry.

Speaking at the awards, Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) said: “Now in their ninth year, the Irish Restaurant Awards continue to showcase the exquisite and admirable calibre of food available in our restaurants and pubs nationwide.” 

These awards are the largest and most coveted accolades in the Irish Restaurant Industry. They recognise achievement and excellence in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry throughout the Island of Ireland and celebrate all aspects of the Industry.
