March 2019: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce wins for Newforge House, Castle Leslie Estate, Bishops Gate Hotel and Rathmullan House at the Ulster Regional Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2019 which took place in Monaghan on Tuesday 12th March 2019.
Over 450 restaurant owners and staff attended the second of four regional events on Tuesday evening where the top establishments in each county were named.
Newforge House, Castle Leslie Estate and Rathmullan House took home the coveted titles of Best Hotel Restaurant in Armagh, Monaghan and Donegal respectively ; with Castle Leslie Estate and Newforge House also winning the Best Customer Service Awards for Monaghan and Armagh.
Blue Book newcomer, Bishops Gate Hotel were recognised as having the Best Customer Service in Derry.
Speaking at the awards, Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) said: “Now in their 11th year, the Irish Restaurant Awards continue to showcase the incredible food that is on offer in the cafes, pubs and restaurants of Ireland, as well as recognising the teams behind these establishments and the hard work and dedication that they put in. With well over 80,000 nominations received from the public this year, the standard for the judging process was higher than ever.”
