Converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798, Rathsallagh is a large comfortable house situated in 530 acres of peaceful parkland with a walled garden and its own 18-hole Championship Golf Course. It is central to some of the most beautiful countryside in Ireland. Glendalough, the Wicklow mountains, the Japanese Gardens & National Stud and the Curragh, and Puchestown racecourse are all close by, yet Dublin is less than one hour's drive
Dining
The food is Country house cooking at its best and is organically produced by local growers and in Rathsallagh's gardens. Game in season and fresh fish from the Wexford coast are specialities.
In 2008 Rathsallagh was awarded the "Gold Medal for Best Country House" in Ireland for the second year in a row, and in 2007 Rathsallagh won the "Best Restaurant in Leinster" award from Food & Wine Magazine.
