July 2010: Historic Hotels of Europe (HHE) is delighted to announce the launch of a HHE iPhone App. The new free iPhone App enables travelers to search for traditional and authentic hotels throughout Europe, including Irish hotels and restaurants.

The Historic Hotels of Europe promotes 20 historic hotels organisations throughout Europe representing nearly 700 unique and handpicked historic properties . They are all presented on the federation’s website www.historichotelsofeurope.com. The new iPhone App will offer the content and search facilities of the HHE website combined with the powerful functionality of the iPhone.

Using the new iPhone app, the user can search by location (hotels “near me”), style/type of lodging (castle, palace, manor house, boutique…) and activities. Interactive Google maps help travelers to find their nearest hotel. Once the hotel of their choice is located, the user can find all relevant information about the property, view three images, check availability, call the property or book online.

The new iPhone app is free and will be available on www.historichotelsofeurope.com and the App Store by the middle of July.
