Mount Juliet Country Estate Joins Ireland's Blue Book

November 2012:Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce that Mount Juliet Country Estate joined the Blue Book collection at the annual general meeting of the association which was held in Tankardstown House in Co. Meath on November 5th.

Founded in 1974 Ireland’s Blue Book is a collection of 45 award winning manor houses, historic hotels, castles and restaurants located around the island of Ireland. Entry into the Blue Book is by invitation only.

Steeped in heritage, Mount Juliet Country Estate is a stunning walled estate covering 1,500 acres of sprawling countryside in Co. Kilkenny. Famed for the welcome and exceptional service every guest receives, Mount Juliet is 20 minutes from the historical city of Kilkenny and just over one hour from Dublin.

According to Simon Haden, President of Ireland’s Blue Book, “Mount Juliet offers golf on the world famous Jack Nicklaus designed course, dinner in the 3 AA Rosette Lady Helen restaurant, treatments in a luxury spa, river and lake fishing, an equestrian centre with guided trails and lessons, woodland walks, bike rides and much more. It is a really wonderful addition to the Blue Book collection.”

The Blue Book also welcomed the Martello Tower in Sutton and Screebe House in Connemara to their private rentals collection. Newport House has also rejoined the collection.
