6 Days/5 Nights Scenic Drive of Ireland

Day 1:

Arrive into Shannon Airport. From Shannon travel south to Cork, stop to take in Blarney Castle with its famous “Blarney Stone” said to impart the gift of eloquence to all who kiss it.

Day 2:

Travel through Macroom and on to Glengariff where you can take a boat and visit Garnish Island. Drive a little north to Kenmare. From Kenmare travel into Killarney, circling the mountainous Macgillycuddy’s Reeks and the highest point in Ireland or spend the day taking in the beauty of the Killarney Lakes.

Day 3:  

Arise to drive around the breathtaking Iveragh Peninsula better known as the Ring of Kerry, travelling through the picturesque villages and towns.


Overnight: Carrig Country House, Cahernane House Hotel or the Park Hotel Kenmare

Day 4:

After an award-winning Irish Breakfast set out on your journey north to county Clare. Stop to visit Bunratty Castle before the drive to visit the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, which drop 200m/600ft to the Atlantic Ocean. From the cliffs, it is only a short drive to the Burren, a vast expanse of naked grey landscape with superb wildflowers and hundreds of ancient monuments.

Day 5:

If you want to take the Connemara tour, you’ll pass by the villages of Spiddal, Costelloe, Screeb, Gortmore, Carna, Toombeola, Ballynahinch and Glendollagh.


Alternatively, travel northwest of Galway to the pretty village of Oughterard, with views of Lough Corrib along the way, continuing through the rugged countryside of Connemara to Clifden. From Clifden, continue northwards to Tullycross and on to Leenane, at the head of Killary Harbour

Day 6:

Return to Shannon Airport to depart from Ireland.
