Hot Press Magazine Lists Blue Book houses in its 'Best Stays' 2018

March 2018: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce that Marlfield House, Ghan House, Dunbrody House, The Park Hotel Kenmare, Virginia Park Lodge, Wineport Lodge, The Merrion Hotel and Ballymaloe House have been listed in Hot Press Magazine’s Best of Ireland Stays 2018.

Marlfield House, Co. Wexford and Ghan House, Co. Louth are listed as the Best for Old World Charm. Marlfield, a celebrated stately home, is regarded as ‘a history buff’s dream’; while Ghan House is ‘a real Georgian Gem and one of the oldest private houses of its kind in Ireland.’

Dunbrody House, Co. Wexford and the five-star Park Hotel Kenmare, Co. Kerry are among the Best for Relaxation. Dunbrody offers a combination of ‘fine food, stunning style and serene spa facilities, while the ‘supremely decadent’ Park Hotel is well-known for its retreats in its SÁMAS spa; a well-known centre for peace and tranquillity.

Best for Glamour goes to the five-star Merrion Hotel. ‘The epitome of understated elegance, Dublin’s Merrion Hotel combines a bustling city-centre location with all the relaxation of a striking country getaway’.

Ballymaloe House, Co. Cork is one of the Best for Family Trips, with a home farm for the family to explore and outdoor activities for all ages.
