Longueville House Beverages win the ‘Golden Fork’ award for their Longueville Mór Cider at the Guild of Fine Food Great Tastes Awards

September 2019: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce that Longueville House Beverages, Co. Cork has been awarded the ‘Golden Fork’ award for their Longueville Mór Cider at the Great Taste Awards run by the Guild of Fine Food which took place on Sunday 1st September 2019. The award was sponsored by Bord Bia.

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink around the UK and Ireland. In 2019, which is its 25th year running, over 500 judges came together at 75 judging days from March to early July. The judging took place at the Guild HQ in Dorset and at the Guild’s permanent office and judging venue close to Borough Market in London. The winners of the prestigious ‘Golden Fork’ awards were announced at a celebration dinner at the InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Longueville House Beverages were awarded the ‘Golden Fork’ award for their Longueville Mór Cider. Their first class Longueville Mór Cider is fermented & aged in their Longueville Apple Brandy casks. This results in significantly more taste, more character, more flavour a truly delicious and unique cider. Commenting on the achievement William O Callaghan, the proprietor of Longueville House, says:
