March 2019: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce wins for Gregans Castle Hotel, The Mustard Seed, The Tannery, and Carrig House at the Munster Regional Finals of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2019 which took place in Limerick on Wednesday 20th March.
Over 550 people attended the third of four regional events on Wednesday evening, where the top establishments in each county were named.
Gregans Castle Hotel achieved glowing recognition on the night scooping both Best Hotel & Guesthouse Restaurant in Clare and Best Customer Service in Clare. Carrig House was awarded the title of Best Hotel & Guesthouse in Kerry and The Tannery was the winner of Best Restaurant Waterford. John Edward Joyce of The Mustard Seed was crowned Best Restaurant
Speaking at the awards, Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) said: “Now in their 11th year, the Irish Restaurant Awards continue to showcase the incredible food that is on offer in the cafes, pubs and restaurants of Ireland, as well as recognising the teams behind these establishments and the hard work and dedication that they put in. With well over 90,000 nominations received from the public this year, the standard for the judging process was higher than ever.”
These awards are the largest and most coveted accolades in the Irish Restaurant Industry. They recognise achievement and excellence in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry throughout the Island of Ireland and celebrate all aspects of the Industry.
