Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce that the Duck Restaurant at Marlfield House has been crowned Overall Restaurant of the Year at the South East Radio Hospitality Awards. The lavish Gala Ball was held on Monday 9th September in Wexford.
The South East Radio Hospitality Awards supported by Wexford County Council seek to recognise and reward excellence in service, quality, value, experience, creativity and innovation in the Hotel, Restaurant, Pub, Café, Night Club, Live Music Venue, Leisure Activity and Tourist Attraction sectors.
The Duck Restaurant is situated on the grounds of Marlfield House with chefs cooking fresh and exciting ingredients from the garden and locality. The restaurant is located in a long stone building with French doors opening onto a sandstone terrace overlooking the kitchen garden filled with vegetables, soft fruits, a plethora of herbs and beds of blooming roses. The Duck Restaurant offers a unique dining experience in a casual setting.
About Marlfield House
Marlfield House is a beautifully restored Regency period house set on 36 acres of fine gardens and woodland and close to miles of golden beaches. The Bowe family opened its doors to guests 40 years ago and it has continued as a highly acclaimed country house and restaurant ever since. Rooms are filled with beautiful antiques, paintings and vases of flowers from the garden.
