Longueville House is a stunning 300-year-old listed Georgian Country House hidden in the heart of a 400-acre wooded estate, in the Blackwater Valley.

Half an hour from Cork City, steeped in history and packed with character, it is privately owner occupied and run as an Exclusive Hire Residence, accommodating groups from two to 30 guests for overnight stays. Ideal for family gatherings, corporate retreats, themed & special interest groups. It also operates in boutique accommodation mode for individuals escaping to the country for a couple of nights.

A home-from-home, classic but informal, where open log fires crackle in vintage hearths and intriguing heirlooms jostle with fresh flowers from the gardens.

This gorgeous house can accommodate groups of up to 18 guests. Should your party require more bedroom space it can accommodate up to 30 guests when required. The house is available as a B&B rental for short term lets with optional Half Board and Full Board Terms. Additional private in-house catering services are available and require booking at time of reservation when menus, guest numbers and other finer details are decided.

Adjacent to the historic manor house at the heart of the estate, surrounded by parkland, orchard, and vigorous gardens, lies the elegantly maintained ‘Courtyard Mews’. The epitome of stylish country living this 5-bedroom property known accommodates exclusive hire groups of up to 10 guests. Residence of the mews may pre book the private dining room on nights when Longueville House is open and subject to availability.

The estate guarantees privacy and utmost discretion for residents. Behind the secure gates of the estate, guests can enjoy private salmon and Brown Fishing on the River Blackwater, Falconry on the lawn, a range of Cross-Country Hikes, Orchard Tours, Garden Tours, Distillery Tours, Cider Tastings, Dawn Chorus Walks and October Mushroom Hunts.

For the gourmand, a field to fork ethos ensures the seasonal food produced within Longueville is lovingly prepared from scratch and cooked to order by your host and personal chef William O’Callaghan. The fact is that for over 35 years the O’Callaghan at Longueville House have been naturally aware and tuned into their immediate environment and their day-to-day impact on it. All vegetables, oriental greens, herbs and much of the summer and autumn fruit comes from the three-acre walled kitchen garden and poly-tunnels on the east side of the house, carefully toiled by gardeners. The restaurant and private dining spaces are reserved exclusively for resident guests of the house and dinner served at 7.30pm.

Each evening we offer a four-course, set dinner menu which changes daily and varies according to the season prepared and cooked for you by Chef/Owner and Host William O'Callaghan. This menu style allows William to focus his energy on limited offerings of finely executed dishes, and concentrate on what he does best, cooking exquisite food.

Between 6.45pm-7.00pm Guests are welcome to join William who will briefly debrief the evening's menu. It may also be the right time for guests to enjoy a pre-dinner Longueville House Cocktail (alcoholic & non- alcoholic or choose their wine or beverage of choice to pair with dinner. If you would like to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif in the bar, please allow 45 mins ahead of your sitting time.
Dinner is served promptly at 7.30pm.  
We ask that all Guests arrive on time for dinner as it’s really appreciated, thank you.

Exclusive Hire Residence, B&B

A most welcoming Historic Manor House at the heart of a large and energetic estate, surrounded by parklands, wild flower meadow, orchards and vigorous gardens, this elegantly maintained Country House Home is the epitome of stylish country living and is home to William & Aisling O'Callaghan your Hosts, who occupy a part of, so are on hand looking after things, while keeping a keen eye on the property and their business. This charming residence will sleep up to 28 guests (children included), and 10 more guests next door by prior arrangement when required. 

Bed & Breakfast comes as standard in Longueville and is included in the rate and served family style, same time each morning at a prearranged time, setting guests up for the day. 
With the exclusive hire mode, the house runs very informally, it's relaxed, service is pared back.

Should guests require additional meal plan services such as lunch, dinner, afternoon teas, picnics, this can be prearranged at time of booking and is provided by our small in-house team. USA Thanksgiving Exclusive Hire in an Irish Country House

An Irish Thanksgiving - Celebrate this November with Family & Friends in Longueville House!

Thanksgiving is traditionally a time for gatherings at home. The day is spent cooking the turkey, baking the pies, dressing the table, fixing the drinks, maybe watching football, then convening around the dining table with family and friends to express gratitude by way of overindulgence! But after months and months of sheltering at home, why not celebrate it in Ireland this year, letting the professionals take over for a change? Traveling abroad for Thanksgiving does not mean giving up all its valued traditions. You can still have the all-American feast, play flag football, and do the turkey trot, but from a luxurious destination such as Longueville House.                                                                                                                  This Thanksgiving we are offering a four night whistlestop Irish visit, arrival Wednesday 24th November and departure Sunday 28th.  Full board is offered daily and included in price.

With 12 beautifully appointed guest bedrooms, we can cater for groups of up to 20 guests, children included.

Booking Policy
Priced quoted accommodate groups of up to 24 guests (children over 2years included in this figure).
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required upon booking. A further 25% instalment is required one month prior to arrival date (29th November 2021). The balance (50%) is paid in full 1 week prior to arrival date.
Extras such as bar, activities are paid for evening before departure.
Sevice Charge of 10% is applied across the board.

 

Cancellation & Early Curtailment Policy 
A booking must be cancelled in writing 42 days (6 weeks) prior to arrival date to avoid penalty of initial deposit (25%). Should a cancellation be made within one month before arrival, a further 25% shall be levied. The same policy applies to curtailment of stay.

Private fly fishing with Ghillie and Falconry display on the lawn may be arranged with prior notice.


Locally you may enjoy more extended walks at Doneraile Park, take a tour of Doneraile House, or take a hike up Mount Hillary, both within easy access of Longueville House.
For the energetic and adventurous, there's hiking or downhill cycling in The Ballyhoura Mountains or some wake boarding and water activities at Ballyhass Lakes nearby.
It is all about the outdoors here and there's plenty to see and do in the beautiful Blackwater Valley!

Booking Policy

Credit card details are required for each room booked to guarantee reservations.

Alternatively a minimum deposit of one night stay per room booked may be made to guarantee a reservation. Upon receipt of these details Longueville House will confirm your booking to you in writing.

Cancellation & Early Curtailment Policy

A booking must be cancelled in writing one week (7 days) prior to arrival date to avoid penalty charges of one nights stay and 50% thereafter per room booked. 21 days notice is required for groups of eight guests or more.The same policy applies to curtailment of stay.
