Dublin Bay Prawn Festival Gears up for its 9th year at Howth Harbour

May 2019: Ireland’s Blue Book is delighted to announce that King Sitric Restaurant and Townhouse will be at the Dublin Bay Prawn Festival in Howth this year which is taking place on Friday May 17th – Sunday May 19th.

Joan MacManus of King Sitric will be hosting a Seafood and Wine Masterclass in the Demonstration tent on Friday May 17th from 5-6pm.

The Dublin Bay Prawn Festival, now in its 9th year, has grown into one of the largest festivals in Ireland, popular with foodies and families alike. Howth’s finest restaurants, bars and cafés will host a variety of amazing food experiences at the Harbour Festival Food Village serving the freshest, most delicious seafood, cooked every way imaginable, including a selection of special Dublin Bay Prawn dishes.

Cllr Anthony Lavin, Mayor of Fingal County Council said, ‘We are delighted to be part of this event, it is an excellent opportunity to showcase Howth and all that it has to offer in terms of food, stunning landscape, culture and heritage’.

The festival will consist of wine tastings as well as live cooking demos and live music street entertainment all in the heart of idyllic fishing village of Howth. The festive atmosphere will continue into the evening as Howth Yacht Club will hosts live music and food in its lovely scenic location.
